Director of Acquisitions
John Parreco joined Foundation Housing as the Director of Acquisitions in August of 2013. In this role, John oversees the acquisition of assets to warehouse for planned LIHTC executions as well as develop and rehabilitate assets using 4% LIHTC and tax-exempt bond financing, 9% LIHTC and conventional financing, and various types of soft funding available on the federal, state, and local levels. John serves as the lead point of contact on all new acquisitions and is tasked with underwriting, due diligence review, lining up financing and equity, as well as navigating any necessary HUD and/or regulatory approvals. During his tenure with Foundation Housing, John has overseen more than 50 acquisitions totaling more than 4,500 units.
Prior to Foundation Housing, John worked at CRI Inc. as an Asset Manager. In this role, John managed a portfolio of nearly 60 properties and worked with their third-party management teams to provide appropriate housing conditions while remaining cognizant of budgets and enhancing the value of the assets under him. During his tenure with CRI, John was promoted to Vice President where he assisted in the disposition of more than 50 properties.
John graduated from Wagner College in New York City where he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in management.
