Gilead Morse

Board Member & Principal, Aardvark Property Group

Gilead Morse is the Principal of Aardvark Property Group, a retail real-estate firm that is focused on buying, selling, and leasing retail real estate, primarily focused in the Philadelphia Metropolitan area and Mid-Atlantic Region. Prior to starting his own retail real estate firm, Gilead was a Senior Vice President of Leasing for Newmark Knight Frank and was in charge of creating revenue and finding new tenants for projects located in Florida, Georgia, and New Jersey.

Prior to that, Morse was Vice President of Leasing for PREIT Services, LLC an affiliate of Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust. Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust was one of the first equity REIT’s in the country. His responsibilities as a leasing professional have included the leasing and overseeing of enclosed shopping malls, grocery anchored shopping centers, as well as high street retail. He has placed Tenants such as The Palm Restaurant, Nicole Miller, Polo/Ralph Lauren, The Walking Company, Williams-Sonoma, and Starbucks.

Morse provided strategy for the game plan process and budgets. He has also secured strong relationships with retailers such as H&M, Abercrombie & Fitch, Coach, lululemon, Tiffany & Co., UNIQLO, Forever 21, Jimmy Choo, VINCE, and Michael Kors. Because of his urban appeal and immense knowledge of urban markets, he has successfully negotiated deals with many tenants such as Footlocker, Sephora, Forever 21, Lucky Brand Jeans, Scotch & Soda, Blue Mercury, and Club Monaco.

Morse started in the real estate business more than 20 years ago and professionally grew into a role where he was responsible for more 2.5 million square feet of retail space.

In 1999, Morse graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies. In 2003, he obtained a master’s degree in Business and Administration from Temple University. In his time away from the office he is on the President’s Council for Magee Rehabilitation. He has also been an active participant in the Philadelphia Cares Organization, a non-profit Greater Philadelphia based volunteer program.
